Championed by the Chicago Historic Bungalow Association, the Modern Bungalow series kicked off at An Orange Moon last Thursday, September the 8th, and was a huge success!
Guests enjoyed an open wine/champagne bar with small sumptuous bites, a hip 60’s jazz playlist of the greats all while Lynne and Ty McDaniel, Owners/Founders/Modernists of An Orange Moon, helped us navigate the following design topics:
- Incorporating your favorite Mid Century Modern (MCM) design into your vintage bungalow (while architecturally many bungalows have a mission vibe, many new bungalow homeowners love the MCM style!)
- Discover the leaders of the MCM design movement.
- Take the test. Can you look at a piece and tell where it falls in the vintage furniture hierarchy? Can you identify wood trends like Walnut, Rosewood or Teak?
- Finally, discover your style and space preference! American or Danish? Minimalist or undecided?
