Lynne is known as the heartbeat of An Orange Moon. The Connector. She has a knack for connecting customers with just the right piece of furniture. With her Clinical background, listening to the customers needs is her forte. She also has a knack for space planning and is well known around Chicagoland for how perfectly she designed a papered over showroom window–from the inside, with no outside visual, as she possess’ the uncanny ability to determine size and space. As the brown paper was removed, and the window unveiled, the doors open and people stood on the sidewalk in front of the freshly designed Mid Century Modern furniture designed window, offering a thunderous applaud of the genius design! Today Lynne is head of marketing, PR, assists Ty in the coordination of private art collections and sales, private showings, public events and finally, head of sales.
*LOVE STORY: The two met while Lynne was completing her practicum for a Masters in Psychology from the Adler School. She was Ty’s intern. Tys background before opening An Orange Moon was in Psychology, and headed up the MISA department at HayMarket Center and Circle Family Care, where he was the lead Clinician Therapist & Social Worker. Although Ty and Lynne grew up 4 blocks apart from each other as children, their paths never crossed.
Lynne recounts on her first day at the facility when introduced to Ty, and they shook hands, she felt a certain “inter-connectedness.” And besides he didn’t want to let my hand go, she chides.
